Happy Birthday to me! What a fun day. I got a wake-up snuggle from Owen, who played with my hair for about 3 minutes then scooted off to tell Dad I needed coffee. I spent the morning reading the newspaper, playing on the web and working on a quilt. I went to school for a while with Boo, then ran a few errands. Shawn found MarioKart at Costco, so I got that for a present (I'll be the one that plays it the least though). Also at Costco are these gallon vases with tulip bulbs in them. I got one last year as a present and we all enjoyed watching them grow for months.
Joseph made me a cool pillowcase, Stuart made me a sleep mask, and Andrew drew a family portrait for me. These were all things I asked for. Andrew went the extra mile and included Optimus Prime, IronMan, and several video game characters in our family, as well as his cousin Heather standing next to Shawn. I love my kids.
Owen has a thing for Bob the Builder books this week. He can pretty much read this one to me from memory.
