Trip to Texas 2.0 v1

Wow, what a trip! It started off much better than the previous trip- all equipment on the car in good working order:)
I set off from Tacoma while it was still dark, headed down I-5 to see my sweet friends Joel and Kari. After a wonderful visit I continued down to Vancouver then turned left. It was a sunny, cold day, the Columbia river gorge was beautiful and filled with whitecaps. I drove a long way that day, I didn't stop until Twin Falls ID at around 9 that night, I just felt awake and good.
In the morning I discovered that there was a beautiful waterfall nearby, Shoshone Falls, and went and explored for an hour or so. I had a late breakfast (still 10 degrees outside) and got headed south around noon.
I had booked a room at the Hotel Nevada in Ely, NV for that night but after 2 hours in the non-smoking room I was wheezing and had to leave. The 'joke' at the desk was that there would be a $100 charge if I smoked in the NS room- I'm not sure how they would have known! It was really bad. I drove a few blocks to a motel that was entirely NS, showered, did laundry, and tucked in bed to watch Inception. I fell asleep by 10 and missed the end.
This is where the trouble starts...
